Pfandleihhaus Kassel, a pawnshop near the Kassel Hauptbahnhof operating since 1961, lends cash against jewelry and watches, which account for about 90 percent of its pledges. Its catalogue of accepted items also names brand-name pieces from Cartier, Bulgari and Tiffany, Breitling and Montblanc watches and pens, plus Hilti and Bosch tools and silver flatware. Unredeemed pledges are auctioned publicly at the Kulturbahnhof Kassel, though the house says no date for the next sale has been set.

Foss Appraisal Service is holding an online estate auction on October 15, 2026, featuring fine art, furniture, vintage video games, and USFS Smokey Bear collectibles. An online estate auction on November 5, 2026, will include SciFi items, fine art, vintage toys, and decor.

The firm, still family-owned in its third generation, describes itself as the oldest specialist shop of its kind in Finland.
